Actually, three quarters of them came down to the studio The one female member Kate Lorenz could not make the morning performance of this one song.
Odd how things can happen on (Live) community radio, today was an unusual mix, lots of new material to air and then the phone rings while doing the show, first guest is running late, ,,on the phone it's Jazer, a member of this quartet Rusty Belle out of the Amhearst, Mass music scene, He asks "Hi Would it be possible for you to announce our gig tonight on the air?" Me thinks for a bit "Why not,, sure!" I Inquired "Where 'you playing at?" Somehow I then discover they are staying with musician friends,,, even better; a past guest of the show,, so right then I just say "Well can you be here and play on the air, in like 45 minutes?" (really)
There was a moment of silence then a very positive "Okay, we'll be there as soon as we can!" and this song 'OFF & ON' is the result. Sure enough; They came down they did one track a new song not on their latest recording . The Players are; Matt Lorenz guitar vox, Jazer Giles accordion, Zak Trojano lead slide guitar, missing from this morning's short one song set on the radio is singer Kate Lorenz
Sound board out synched to clip, camera sound deleted, posted with the permission of the artist,

Somehow I stumbled upon a Nic Askewfilm (short) on a blog months & months ago I cannot remember that blog but Nic Askew films are powerfully unforgettable nuggets of wisdom & humanity, potent timely portraits of extraordinary people, this one of Seth Godin (certainly an extraordinary person) part of Nic's Soul Biographies Series . where you can subscribe to his great films & other media gems. Nic is also a very adept guitarist as you find if you get to know his work.
is a cool cat, great bass player & song writer/performer, even hosts a cable show in NYC this video he did recently and it will be part of episode #207 of his Cable show
http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=4713518n I saw most of this piece last night on 60 Minutes , with special interest since my wife's side of the family is Haitian. Wyclef Jean is an inspiration to many Haitians, plus so many of us are familiar with his music and his very creative life. I found this on HaitianWebs.com
A twitter contact recently discovered Animoto and reminded me of just how cool AniMoTo is, they continue to expand their services I am a huge fan and user of the service which I found via a Vimeo contact. All the images are by yours truly with very few exceptions ( two nine panels from my Flickr favorites).
