WellPoint sued an ENTIRE STATE (of MAINE) to increase profits
This is a cool film project ! Low & behold @ 2:18 Joel Eckhaus appears as one of the subjects of this documentary. Joel is a Ukulele stalwart in the United States, is an expert luthier, player & often you'll find him @ Uke gatherings or introducing us here in Maine where he lives , to incredible ukulele players like when he brought Aussie uke master AZO BELL a member of the Old Spice Boys who was beyond remarkably gifted, adept etc.
You can Check out some of Joel's Luthier work @ Ernest Instruments he recently made a strat uke that was given to the Boss for one of his 60th birthday presents (cool gift). Joel makes & plays them very very well. Joel and fellow musician Kris Eckhardt are in an entertaining duo: Dos Eckies and are scheduled to play my program Us Folk 16th October (Friday Morning) around 9 am
part of the semi annual ' B E G A T H O N " to support WMPG Community Radio here in Portland, Maine.
I love this shot it was one I took now 4 years ago, it was a windy day I was raking . The leaves were so beautiful & colorful,
I decided these were too sweet to just 'bag up' there began a rapid collection of the ones that 'spoke to me' I assembled them out of the wind in my shed in our back yard.
The leaves here in Portland have started to turn just a bit. Maybe we'll get some 'beauts' like these .

Good friend and blues (great) guitarist singer songwriter Frank Fotusky mentioned this wonderful player each time he guested on my program (Us Folk here in Portland, Maine over the years. He would say;"You got to hear his stuff, he's a remarkable player who influenced & or played with countless formidable performers!" He was talking about Steve Mann, whose enormous gift and talents on the guitar touched thousands both the players and audiences. He was a heralded an inventive blues guitar great but got sidelined by a nervous breakdown in 1967. Somehow he was able to recoup and resurfaced, and was booked in and around his Berkeley , California base, Frank Fotusky performed with him a series of shows on the west coast in 2005, he refered to it as a dream come true to be performing with such a brilliant player. My friend Frank also had introduced me to Facebook & introduced Steve to Facebook , Frank also introduced me to Steve Mann on Facebook whom I friended up only weeks ago & he friended back, only a few weeks had passed I was only to find that this incredibly gifted brilliant guitar player died on the 9th of September 2009.
I found this video searching YouTube it is one of an all too few videos of Steve performing. If you got some share em
Thanks Frank.
Rest in Peace Steve Mann.

(Well unless you can hit the Wisconsin show tonight!).
This was too funny not to share!

Fascinating concept of one Thousand year long musical 'Piece' is the focus of this very cool interview from multidisciplined journalist Documentally . I found myself drawn into the AudioBoo by not only the concept (which seems so foreign, unusual & rare conceptually) but the sonic quality & interviewing skills of Documentally, who continues to post an array of consistently enriching content on the web .
